The North Devon Pipes and Drums were formed in Barnstaple, Devon, UK, in 1987.

Later, in 1990, their tartan, the Devon Original, was accredited by the Council of the Scottish Tartan Society and the accreditation certificate is displayed in the Barnstaple Guildhall.

Also, Barnstaple Town Council granted the band permission to include the Town Coat-of-Arms on their bass drum.

The 2008 concert was their tenth appearance in the current series of Remembrance Concerts, and both the benefiting charities and the organizers, would like to thank them, sincerely, for their continuous and unswerving support.

The Pipes & Drums perform at many events and functions throughout the UK and abroad:  for the past four years they have performed at the Ypres War Memorial, Belgium, on Remembrance Day, and, for the second year in succession took part in the Luxembourg International Military Tattoo.
