North Devon Remembers
Those who died in the Service of their Country

The Barnstaple Ladies Choir was formed in 1984, and has approximately 30 members.
Their conductor, Mary Chant, has, during her tenure, brought the Choir to a very high standard of performance.
The Choir has performed extensively throughout North Devon and beyond, and have exchanged visits with the City of Stoke-on-Trent Male Voice Choir, and also sung in concert with the Betty Eyles Choir from Ponypool and the Bristol New Harmony Ladies Choir.
They have developed a friendship, of 18 years duration, with the Barbel-Grosse Chor from Uelzen, Germany, (Barnstaple’s twin town) which has resulted in exchange visits between the Choirs taking place on a regular basis.
In addition, the Barnstaple Ladies Choir has an enduring friendship with the Barnstaple Male Voice Choir: having sung together in many concerts
They have previously broadcast on BBC Radio Devon in the run up to Christmas, providing a carol each day for a fortnight, as well as a half hour program on Boxing Day, at prime time.
To-date the Ladies Choir has performed at eight of the fourteen Remembrance Concerts.
