North Devon Remembers
Those who died in the Service of their Country

British Armed Forces have served in Afghanistan since the allied invasion in 2001, and it was with the deepest regret we learned that a member of the Royal Military Police Corps died of his wounds sustained in Helmand Province on
18th November.
We would like to convey our sincerest condolences to the families, friends & colleagues concerned.
Tragically, this brings the number “Killed in Action” to:

The image on the left is of one of those remarkable Soldiers who died ‘in action’ during the British deployment.
They were extraordinary individuals doing an extraordinary task, and they paid the ultimate price.
They were also son’s, brothers, husband’s and fathers; sister’s daughters and wives, but, they were still willing to put their lives at risk, so that others might live in peace and democracy.
We shall remember them for their devotion to duty, their undoubted courage and determination in the face of the enemy, and their totally unselfish sacrifice.
Neither should we forget the sacrifice made by our allies.: particularly, the USA, Canada and Australia.
